World Youth Skills Day 2022 takes place amid concerted efforts towards socio-economic recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic that are interconnected with challenges such as climate change, conflict, persisting poverty, rising inequality, rapid technological change, demographic transition and others.

Graeme visited Angus Training Group at their Arbroath premises, where he spoke with Garry Talbert about how we can create opportunities to provide young people with spaces for dialogue with educational institutions, employers, policymakers, and development partners.

I was very pleased to meet again with Garry Talbert at Angus Training Group to discuss the skills needed as the world transitions into a sustainable development model. Angus Training Group sees its role and ambition within world Youth Skills day is to promote to member companies and others within the sector the benefits of bringing onboard a young person to their business as they face the challenges of the future. Also promoting to the young people, the rewards, and challenges of a Modern Apprenticeship in Engineering with its many avenues and facets.
