Graeme has lodged the below-listed motions in Parliament over the last week, congratulating as ever, various people and organisations across Angus South constituency for some quite fantastic achievements.
Motion S5M-10192: World’s Best Martini 2018
That the Parliament congratulates the Angus distillery, Arbikie, on bringing home the title of the World’s Best Martini 2018 with its AK’s Gin; notes that the Stirling family has been farming at Arbikie for four generations and that AK’s Gin was launched in 2017 by the brothers in memory of their father, Alexander Kirkwood Stirling; recognises the hard work that has gone into creating the Arbikie brand, which has also seen it recently named Scottish Gin Distillery of the Year at the Scottish Gin Awards, and welcomes not only Arbikie’s success, but the contribution of farmers across Angus and Scotland, who relentlessly strive to improve Scotland’s world-renowned reputation for excellence in food and drink.
Motion S5M-10175: Selection for the Scottish Youth Futsal Federation’s U20 Squad
That the Parliament congratulates Robert Black, who attends Monifieth High School, on being selected for the Scotland U20 squad for the upcoming futsal friendly against the University of Edinburgh on 3 February 2018; notes that this is part of the Scottish Youth Futsal Federation’s preparation for the IFA World Cup 2018; applauds all players selected, and wishes the Scottish players and staff well for their forthcoming fixtures and the World Cup in Spain later in 2018.
