New figures show that 24,010 of Scotland’s Baby Box have been delivered across NHS Tayside since the scheme’s inception.
The Scottish Government introduced the Baby Box in 2017, entitling every new-born in Scotland to a box containing essential items intended to make sure that every child has the best possible start in life.
In total, 335,775 boxes have now been distributed to parents across Scotland since the start of the project.
It’s fantastic that 24010 Baby Boxes have been delivered to families across NHS Tayside since the SNP government introduced them in 2017.

The baby box is crucial to tackling child poverty – the number one priority of this SNP government – and alongside the game-changing Scottish Child payment worth £27.15 per week per child, helps to ensure that every child has the best start in life.
The essential items in every box are especially important when household budgets continue to be squeezed, and the Labour government continues to cut support for the most vulnerable.
With initiatives like the Baby Box, the SNP in government will continue to drive down child poverty and mitigate the harm of Westminster until we have the full powers of an independent nation.
Since 2017, over 335,500 Baby Boxes have been delivered, filled with essentials to give children the best start life.
