988 apprentices were in training in Angus at the end of last year, new figures have revealed.
The numbers, which are the newest on record, show the difference that SNP improvements have made to Modern Apprentices in Angus.
The figure is part of 39,589 total Modern Apprenticeships across Scotland at the end of 2024 – an increase of 20,960 on the same period in 2021.
Investment by @theSNP has seen around 400,000 apprenticeships provided to young people since 2008.

I welcome the news that there are 988 Angus apprentices training under the Modern Apprenticeship scheme in Angus.
GRAEME
Apprenticeships provide outstanding opportunities for our young people to acquire key skills and are a route into high quality careers.
Under the SNP, we have record numbers of young people securing places on Modern Apprenticeship schemes, and these recent figures show a rise in participants from communities across the country.
The SNP recognises the importance of apprenticeships, which is why we implemented £100 million for Modern Apprenticeships in the recent Scottish Budget.
