Key policies which will be taken forward in the Budget which will benefit people in Angus including the introduction of record levels of NHS funding, signalling the government’s commitment to improving healthcare services across the country. This aims to enhance patient care and support the health system in delivering better outcomes
An important highlight is the reintroduction of universal winter heating payments for pensioners, reversing cuts previously made by the UK Labour Government. This initiative ensures that elderly Scots can afford to stay warm during the colder months.
The budget also includes the abolition of Labour’s Two Child Cap, a policy change that will help lift approximately 15,000 children out of poverty. This move is part of a broader effort to reduce inequality and support families in need.
