SNP Investment Delivering for Communities
Graeme has welcomed new figures from the Scottish Parliament Information Centre (SPICe) which show a steep increase in the availability of superfast broadband across Angus.
As of September 2024, 90.33% of properties in Angus have access to superfast broadband – an increase of 31.53 percentage points since 2014.
Across Scotland in 2014, only 50% of households had access to superfast broadband. Over the past decade, this figure has risen by 45 percentage points to 95% in 2024.
The SNP is determined to ensure that everyone in Angus and across Scotland has the digital connectivity they need, with significant investment in programmes to make this happen.
And from 2025, all new builds in Scotland must have access to superfast broadband as the SNP delivers on a Programme for Government commitment.
Scottish Government programmes over the past decade have dramatically increased digital connectivity right across Angus and all over the country.

This is making a real and important difference in people’s lives, removing barriers to work and study and helping to boost growth – one of the SNP government’s four priorities.
It is through such long-term infrastructure investment that we facilitate this.
While I certainly appreciate that black spots remain locally, the Scottish Government is committed to continuing progress through the Reaching 100% programme until everyone in Angus and Scotland is connected.
