24849Â Baby Boxes Delivered to Families Across Angus
Graeme hails success of Scotland only scheme.
Graeme has welcomed new figures that show 24849 Baby Boxes have been delivered across NHS Tayside since the scheme was introduced in 2017.
In Scotland, every newborn is entitled to a box containing essential items intended to make sure that every child has the best possible start in life.
In total, 346,959 boxes have now been distributed to parents across Scotland since the projects inception.
It’s fantastic that 24849 Baby Boxes have been delivered to families across NHS Tayside since the SNP government introduced them in 2017.Â
GRAEME
The baby box is part of the SNP’s offering to support new families – alongside 1,140 hours of free childcare for 3, 4 and eligible 2-year-olds, and giving families financial certainty by scrapping the two-child benefit cap and introducing the Scottish Child Payment. Â
With initiatives like these, Scotland is by far the best part of the UK to start a family.
The SNP government will continue to drive down child poverty and mitigate the harm of Westminster until we have the full powers of independence.
