Arbroath Signal Tower
Graeme is backing plans to improve the museum.
The site, run by ANGUSalive, welcomes thousands of visitors each year, and tells the maritime history of the town. Working in partnership with the community, the team at the Signal Tower Museum have drawn together plans to transform the outdoor spaces to improve the museum’s offering.
The project has received funding from the National Heritage Lottery Steps to Sustainability Fund and Museums Galleries Scotland, in addition to being approved for a significant sum from Angus Council through the UK Shared Prosperity Scheme, however the restrictive timescales with this funding meant that the Museum was unable to move forward. The team at the Signal Tower will now bid for different funding to take forward their ambitious plans.
It was great to visit the Museum and hear more about these proposals. I think they have the potential to make a big difference for residents and visitors alike, and I back them wholeheartedly.

The Signal Tower is an important community asset, and I am happy to assist them in bringing these plans to fruition in whatever capacity I can.
We were delighted to welcome local MSP Graeme Dey to Signal Tower Museum recently to explore plans that will enhance the underused garden, garden room, and courtyard spaces.
