NHS staff at record levels with 13.1% increase last year.

Record health funding has been allocated to NHS Tayside for the coming year which demonstrates how only the SNP can be trusted to protect Scotland’s NHS.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Staffing in Scotland’s NHS has risen to record highs.

🏥 @scotgov long-term investment in the workforce has accelerated since the outset of the pandemic and we are seeing that in reality, with a 5.4% increase over the past five years here in Tayside.https://t.co/GvLsDC9hfe pic.twitter.com/spqiIXydge

The local health board has been given a record budget of £856.5 million for 2022/23 to recover after the dreadful impact of the pandemic.

To help with that recovery, NHS Tayside also has record numbers of staff under the SNP, with 1,454.5 Whole Time Equivalent staff, an increase of 13.1% compared to the previous year.

– Graeme

We all rely on our NHS – that’s why we want to make sure it properly recovers from the pandemic to be fit for the future. The Scottish Government has recognised the hard work and dedication of our NHS staff in Tayside by providing them with record funding for 2022/23.

This will go a long way in ensuring that NHS Tayside is well on its way to recovery from the pandemic. It is only the SNP that can be trusted with the future of our health service. On May 5 the people of Tayside can send a message that the future of our NHS cannot be trusted to the Tories.

I started working for Graeme’s office after graduating from Abertay University and while I was studying a post graduate at Dundee University. I then went on to work for Graeme full time as his constituency assistant.
